Basel Exhibition Introduction
One of the world's largest watch and jewelery show, can be traced back to the first organized in 1917 Schweizer Mustermesse Basel (MUBA) " Basel sample exposition ." Development today, Baselworld jewelry watch industry has become the grand rally. The total exhibition area of about 160,000 square meters , more than 2000 exhibitors each year , nearly 100,000 professional audience of nearly 2,500 international buyers and media .
Basel exhibition history dating back to 1917, the first Schweizer Mustermesse Basel (MUBA) Sample Fair in Basel, Switzerland .
1925: MUBA invited some watch manufacturers participating.
1931 : The first session of the Schweizer Uhrenmesse ( Swiss Watch Fair ) held in its own booth inside .
1973 : The first session of the "Europäische Uhren-und Schmuck-messe" (EUSM) ( European Watch and Jewellery Show ) held in MUBA.
1983 : Fair renamed BASEL ( Basel ) to the back of the two numbers represent the year , such as BASEL 83.
1986: exhibitors were invited for the first time outside Europe , including , showing an increase of visitors from outside Europe.
1995 : renamed "BASEL 95 - The World Watch, Clock and Jewellery Show ( Basel 95 - World Watch and Jewellery Show ) ."
1999 : an area of 36,000 square meters of the 1st hall was completed .
2003 : Once again renamed as BaselWorld, The Watch and Jewellery Show ( Basel world watch and jewelery show )
2004 : With the addition of a new exhibition buildings , the total exhibition area of 160,000 square meters .
2013 : This is by the Basel architects Herzog & de Meuron designed the renovation and modernization projects , bringing the total exhibition area of one hundred forty-one thousand square meters .
